Maine Line Magazine Archive Volume 29
The Summer 1982 issue contains what is believed to be an error in its header information on the inside cover, listing it as Volume 20. However the Summer 1982 issue puts it here in Volume 29, which is where it should be. The covers from these two issues borrow from earlier editions in terms of style. The economic situation on the railroad is not good compared to even 1981. Plenty of projects are being completed: buildings; track; new and rebuilt boxcars. But economically - the railroad seems to be in trouble. Interestingly - in this time of a lot of potential doom and gloom, the articles in the Maine Line are positive - but they are also increasingly about individuals. Some of these individuals are retirees or only vaguely connected to the Bangor and Aroostook.
