Maine Line Magazine Archive Volume 14
The Diamond Jubilee or 75th Anniversary of the Bangor and Aroostook was a cause for celebration. Therefore the year of 1966 was one of celebration, special trains, displays, and a special series of Maine Line Magazine covers, featuring the diamond logo. The Maine Line had not been created when the 50th anniversary rolled around and by the 100th Anniversary of the railroad, the Maine Line would be no more. Sad to think that this publication that spanned so much of the railroads history, 38 years of a 112 year railroad or almost exactly 1/3rd of it, would only cover one of the 'big' anniversaries. Fortunately for us, they made a big deal of that one they did cover!
