Bangor and Aroostook Railroad Historical and Technical Society

The Bangor and Aroostook Railroad Historical and Technical Society was formed in 1974 and appears to have vanished around five years later. As the organization no longer exists, here is an archive of the newsletters produced by the organization. It remains an ongoing project to attempt to reconstruct the brief history of this organization, one that would have probably slipped into the obscurity of history had someone not handed me a pile of newsletters. At some point in its history, the document is undated, the BARHTS released a list of slides, prints, and other media available in its collection. The list is rather impressive. It is included here. It is not known if any of these images survived or what happened to them.

Volume 1	1974	The introductory year for this newsletter appears to have had 8 issues, although what months were skipped is not on record. Perhaps a summer break?

Volume 2	1975	It would seem for volume 2 of this newsletter, the number of issues was cut in half, based upon the month and year from number 4. However this is largely conjecture.
