Maine Line Magazine Archive Volume 32
1985 was not a good year for the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad, financially. Only three issues of the Maine Line were produced. The articles and statistics prove out a railroad in trouble. All three issues were produced with the 'standard' cover format including the Maine Line header with the A being replaced with the B&A's triangular logo. The last of the refrigerated boxcars was sold off - but the railroad began to repaint the 5200 series of boxcars and scheduled 38,500 new ties to be installed.
