Timetable - November 13, 1944
Perhaps the most radical change we have seen in the wartime years - There are now three trains North and South, six days a week. From Bangor the Potatoland leaves first about 3:30 AM, Train #3 leaves just after 6 AM and is a local service, terminating in Caribou. The Flyer leaves Bangor at 5:25 PM and goes all the way to Van Buren, arriving at 12:40 AM. The reverse runs are the Flyer leaving Van Buren at 6:50 AM, Train #4 leaves Caribou at 9:40 AM and the Potatoland leaves Van Buren at 3:15 PM.
The Phair to Fort Fairfield service is back running in both directions, six days a week, with three mixed trains per day. When added together with the bus system which has a daily service covering most of the same areas - it could be said that the transportation to and from Northern Maine had never been better.
