Timetable - June 19, 1947

Effective only 13 days after the previous timetable in this collection, we are back to just the Patten - Sherman - Island Falls service, daily-except-Sunday, as listed on the rail side of things. On the Bus side of things a Sunday only express bus has been added between Presque Isle and Fort Fairfield. For the first time a Saturday only service is being offered between Bangor and Brownville Junction. Remember that Patten - Sherman - Island Falls - Oakfield - Houlton service? Its now located under the bus side of things. Confused yet? Its worth remembering that despite the B&A dabbling in buses since 1936, the lack of private vehicles in the aftermath of WWII is changing demand and therefore traffic patterns.
