Timetable - July 24, 1944

Although we know that WW II will end in both theatres in the next 14 months, no one knew that at the time. Although this is the second of what could be considered 'propaganda advertising' to appear on the double page of the timetable, one cannot deny the importance of Maine products and the Bangor and Aroostook to get them to where they needed to go, before, during and after the largest war the world has ever seen.
Inside the timetable is an interesting section. Under the Phair - Fort Fairfield table, one can get a morning Mixed train - but there is no return train listed, nor a bus. Also the REA advertisement has been changed. Other than that little seems to be different from the previous timetable.
