Timetable - December 13, 1937
The year of 1937 seems to have been one of blue timetables or at least blue timetable covers. This one has a double page advertisement not for passenger service, but the Fast Freight service - hauling Potatoes to the nation. The Aroostook Flyer, both the North and Southbound schedules have been altered and it appears the running time for both has been lengthened compared to the September timetable we last looked at. A winter schedule taking into account snow perhaps? The somewhat confusing mixing of the bus and train into a single timetable has been done away with, favoring a separate timetable. The exception to this is a listing for Sunday only buses, which remain listed in the train sections. Sunday service on the buses seems to be increasing, one presumes due to demand. Overall, the Bangor and Aroostook is doing very well at providing passenger service to the people of Northern Maine.
