Timetable - Bus - June 29, 1952

"Is your Lodge or Club taking a trip?" This eye catching timetable features a drawing of a B&A Bus and a rather abstract interpretation of the B&A keystone. Charter service is obviously being promoted as are all the locations in various towns where you can buy a ticket. The through bus service more or less emulates the old passenger train routes, with additions due to where the roads run. Simply put, if the bus goes through there, it makes no sense not to stop and try to pick up some riders. Although passenger railroad service has almost never been offered on Sunday, the bus system adopted Sunday service fairly early and has stuck with it. Buses leave Bangor 7 days a week at 9:20 AM, 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM bound for destinations as far away as Fort Kent, Millinocket and Moose River respectively. There were never three passenger departures Northbound out of Bangor on the rail side of things. You can easily see that the B&A was committed to providing passenger service for the people of Northern Maine!
