Timetable - Bus - June 20, 1938

For the first time in this collection we have a standalone bus timetable. Taken as a sign - we can begin to see the dominance of the passenger train for long distance travel starting to slip. Granted, this has been coming for years in the other timetables we have looked at, but the buses were always included in the railroad's timetable. Now, in this one, they stand alone.
The publication itself is rather interesting, the previous issue of the railroad timetable had an entire column, with map. That now appears as the back cover on the standalone timetable. The rather odd logo utilizing a portion of the railroad's keystone is the top of the front cover and we are encouraged to travel by bus "with railroad responsibility". The inside two pages which contain the actual timetables appear to be nearly identical to the two columns in the railroad timetable from the same date. This would seem to be the reason the bus columns in the railroad timetable now have their own Information section - someone simply took the bus timetable pages and put them into the railroad timetable.
