Timetable - Bus - January 11, 1945
This appears to be a photocopy of an original, so no comments about the color will be made. One can see that the railroad's bus division is playing to a public which is used to the railroads, even using the term 'railroad responsibility' when referring to the quality of the bus service. Interestingly, although the buses had been covering the passenger service between Sherman and Patten literally for years at this point, no mention of that service is included in the bus timetable. It remains in the Rail section of the joint rail and bus timetables as well. The through service will take you as far as Fort Kent, but the local service in the county seems to be based out of Presque Isle - Mapleton, Houlton and Fort Fairfield are all reached via Presque Isle. Millinocket however gets daily service right out of Bangor.
