Timetable - April 26, 1954

The first timetable from 1954 in this collection, green is certainly the theme. The inside double page advertisement is promoting fishing in Northern Maine. Fares are listed, the most expensive fare - a round trip sleeper from New York City to Van Buren was $63.32. That works out to $768.47 in January 2026 dollars. Although we know that the end of B&A passenger service was about 7 and a half years away, no sign of this in yet in the timetable. The Northbound Potatoland Special and Aroostook Flyer are both picking up passengers at Northern Maine Junction, but the Southbounds are running all the way to Bangor to exchange passengers.
