Maine Line Magazine Archive Volume 9
Volume 9 of the Maine Line Magazine was the transition from the 4x6 inch format of magazine to the newspaper style large format on newsprint. Two issues were produced in the smaller format, three on the larger news print format. There was no March - April issue, with no explanation. The switch to the new format is attributed to being part of a "general belt-tightening economic adjustment" and the new issues are to be printed on Great Northern Paper Company Jet paper. How much was economics and how much was a nod to a large customer on the line, who can say.
