Cabooses
From all evidence that can be found, the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad never bought a caboose. The closest they came was to buy cars to convert to cabooses, but no off the shelf cabooses appear to have ever made their way onto the B&A's roster.
A surprising number of the B&A's cabooses survive, although not always on rail and not always on their wheels. It would seem that they had somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 cabooses over the lifetime of the railroad. This statement is based off of the discovery of at least one photo of a caboose with just about every number from 1 to 99. This list is meant to be as comprehensive as possible and is subject to revision. Photos when available will be credited and captioned if the information can be obtained.
